ASU Emerge is a festival centered around questions about the future. I was part of a design team that helped create an environment where we could actively engage those questions.
This piece of the design was made to give information to participants as they entered the space. It lays out the agenda for the day with a description of each event, as well as the current time, and a question which is meant to get them thinking about the future. The patron can then tweet their answer and/or view what others have said which allows for an overarching conversation for the evening.
This project also makes use of Python Twitter Tools and accessing the Twitter API to pull real time updates for a specific hash tag. This allows festival goers to generate conversation with people they might not meet in person at the festival.
